Tempe, Arizona, will be the destination for both the 2022 NorthLegal Bankruptcy Fundamentals Seminar and the Advanced Bankruptcy Conference.  Tempe is a college town, just east of Phoenix—home to Arizona State University and very convenient to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

The Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center (a Hyatt hotel) is in the heart of downtown Tempe, steps away from restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

After class (or before, if you're an early riser!), you'll have no shortage of activities. The Tempe Beach Park is an easy walk (less than quarter of a mile away) and you can walk the footpath around the lake, rent a paddle boat or kayak, check out the water park, or just relax on the lawn. Visit the Hayden Butte Preserve (half a mile from the hotel) to see ancient petroglyphs and learn about the prehistoric Hohokam peoples or early Indian communities, or the Desert Botanical Garden to investigate plants that thrive in the desert.

Like to hike or walk along nature trails? The east valley has everything from easy walks to challenging climbs, including Camelback Mountain.

Is shopping more your thing? In addition to the Tempe Mill Avenue District within walking distance, famous Scottsdale is only 14 minutes away by car. Cave Creek, with its western restaurants, shops and entertainment, is about 45 minutes.

Golf? It's Arizona! Bring your clubs; there are a number of courses in the nearby area.

If you arrive the weekend before or can stay the weekend after, consider visiting the Saguaro National Park, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tombstone, or the Grand Canyon!

Getting There

The Tempe Mission Palms is located at 60 East Fifth Street, in downtown Tempe, and just 10 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Airport shuttle transportation (from 5:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.) to and from the hotel is included in the hotel service fee. If you are driving in, valet and self-parking are also included.

The Tempe Mission Palms is holding a limited number of standard King or Double Bedded rooms for us at a special rate of $149.00 per night (single or double occupancy) plus a mandatory discounted $14.95 per room per day hotel service fee, plus taxes, for Sunday arrival and Friday departure (June 12-17, 2022).  They have offered these rates up to 3 days prior and up to 3 days following our conference dates, based upon room type availability at the time of the request.  After our room block has been filled (or after our reservation cutoff date of Monday, May 23, 2022, whichever comes first) room reservations will be subject to availability.
